Almost. The designs and products on this site are ready, and we are connecting each one to our print-on-demand shop. Until a product is live, its Buy button opens a short "coming soon" page instead of the shop.

If you have your eye on something in particular, email us and we will let you know when it goes live.

Prices will be shown on each product's page in our shop when it opens. We don't list prices on this site yet because we would rather not show you a number that might change before you can actually buy anything.

Each product page on this site shows the garment colours we plan to offer, with previews on a light and a dark colour where we have them. On-screen colours are approximate.

The exact sizes and colours you can order will be listed in the shop for each product.

Nothing is printed until somebody orders it. When you buy a t-shirt, for example, our print partner prints that design on that shirt for you, then packs it and sends it out.

It means we don't keep piles of unsold stock, and we can offer every design on lots of different products.

Our orders will be printed and shipped by Printful, a print-on-demand company. We draw the designs and prepare the print files; Printful prints them onto the products and handles the posting.

Yes. Most of our designs have two versions: dark lines for pale garments, and light lines for dark garments, so nothing disappears into the fabric. The round badge designs carry their own background and work on any colour.

Where we can, product pages let you preview the design on both a light and a dark colour.

Every design is original artwork made for Drunken Sailor. We don't use clip art, and we don't copy other people's pictures or characters.

That's the Old Salt, our own original character: big white beard, red knitted beanie, fisherman's jumper, rosy nose and a tankard never far away. He isn't based on any cartoon or film sailor.

No, and they aren't anyone else's either. "Drunken Sailor" is a traditional sea shanty and its words are free for everyone to use. The lettering and illustrations on our designs are our own.

Probably. Tell us which design and which product you have in mind and we'll see whether it can be printed well. New product types can be added to the shop quite easily.

Delivery options, costs and estimated times will be shown at checkout and in the shop's delivery policy once it opens. Printed-to-order items are made after you buy them, so allow for printing time as well as postage.

Get in touch with a photo and your order details and we'll put it right. Our full returns policy will be published in the shop, and it won't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
